Religion in the Military
May. 9th, 2009 09:33 amOkay, I can't understand why anyone finds this surprising.
This was going on when I was a butter bar in the Air Force back in the early 70s.
I was stalked by an evangelical chaplain around Scott AFB, I was forced to see and stand up to a General in the Pentagon when I wanted to put "NONE" for the religion entry on my dog tags.
We had prayer sessions. I was proselytized by my co-workers and told I was not a proper officer if I wasn't a Christian.
This is nothing new. The only thing new is that suddenly someone is noticing it.
