"Publishers are also encouraged to know that Google will be opening Google Editions, an online e-books store, this summer. Dan Clancy, who will direct Google Editions, told Auletta that their store’s e-books will be accessible to users of any device, and that Google Editions will let publishers set prices."
Good for google. Hardware companies that insist on limiting format to force people to buy a specific reader suck.
Whilst I'm not that happy that some publishers want to raise prices of ebooks, I still think publishers, not hardware manufacturers, like Amazon with its Kindle, should be in control. Way too easy to try to grab the whole market.
We want content we can read where we want to, and not be locked into one specific device.
