This year we have 'butterfly'd' the turkey. Saw it in a Penzy's book, so thought we would try it. We cook it on the grill, btw. The good side of Florida.
Also made cranberry relish from scratch. Amazingly easy to do. Chopping up apple the hardest part.
Also made dressing, and an apple cake, which I'll frost with caramel candy melted with a few teaspoons of milk.
Add gravy made with the stock from the turkey backbone, and smashed garlic and Parmesan red potatoes, and I think we've got a pretty darn good meal.
