So.. as we were driving home from our granddaughter's high school graduation we saw two billboards: 1) For Guidance: Our leaders should pray to GOD.
2) The Power of Prayer.
(Now I remember why I'm so happy we live 20 miles south of the nearest interstate)
And that's when it hit me. The reason the US is so utterly F'd Up.
Notice something missing about both signs? Neither says to WHICH God one should be praying!
And since, no doubt, the switchboard to the Gods has been outsourced to some 'foreign' country where cheaper labor by little kids barely 7 is easily obtained and within the law, is it any wonder that a lot of US politicians and religious leaders are getting the wrong number?
Oops, entered wrong area code! So they end up talking to Kali, who, you must admit, likes Destruction. No doubt she is Bush and Cheney's BFF.
So I then tried to figure out which God other folks might be speaking to.
You know, to the DrillBabyDrill crowd, and the Hypocrites who scream how evil homos are but then use rent boys on vacation, and just who the hell is BP talking to, telling them to say that Louisiana isn't the only place that has shrimp, and they want their lives back?
As for Obama, I think he's been connected to the Flying Spaghetti Monster. He's the only God I can think of who doesn't give out advice and who might actually say, "Hey, dude, tell them all to use their brain, not their knees, to think with."
