Writing Class

I guess I should fess up and admit that I've just started a year long writing class. It's for fantasy. The first week has been interesting and I like the instructor.  

We've only done one exercise and we haven't really begun any work together, just been getting to know one another. 

I've spent the last month or so attempting to put together some thoughts about what I want to write, the location, and the major characters. I'm approaching this much as I do NaNoWriMo.  Hopefully with this motivation,  I can actually get past the whole the story's done now I'm done mindset.  I need to edit and actually seriously attempt to get published. We'll see!
