Last election, I was asked to go to a precinct because the clerk was pretty much on his own, with all his usual workers on vacations one place or another. I was also told by the volunteer coordinator that she wanted me to 'see what needed to be fixed' at the precinct, and let her know how things went.
Well, they went okay, and I saw no real problems altho the clerk did admit he needed to 'review' some stuff he'd forgotten about that I reminded him about. So I guess I did good, and wassneaky tactful, enough about it all.
Yesterday I got a phone call from the volunteer coordinator asking me if I'd go to a different precinct to, uhm, repeat it with yet another clerk who seemed confused about stuff that is really important.
Success never goes unpunished???
