Day 23–Blast of the Past RV Tour

And here we were out in the middle of nowheresville. Then, just after we’d eaten breakfast we heard it. Jet noise. The sound of freedom!

Turns out we aren’t quite in the boonies, at least not so much as we believed!  Just 20 miles away, in the opposite direction than we came in, is Shaw Air Force Base. Jets!  Bombs!  Just like home!

We wanted to hit a store, so we headed to the base and went to the Commissary. Just. Like. Home. Smaller though. A LOT smaller. Oh well.

Pictures will have to wait though. Our phone and internet connections here are crappy. It will take two days to upload any pictures, considering it takes 5 minutes to download my mail…
